Service Charges

As with any important cost, you need to check you’re not over-paying for service charges. Our services allow you to do so inexpensively, and can often result in significant savings.

We check through your service charge statements, look at your lease, and trace back through the documentation.

If we do find you’re being overcharged, we will represent you in reaching a settlement with the landlord. The good news is that if an overpayment is discovered, you are entitled to recover it not just from the current year’s payment, but possibly from previous years’ as well.

We offer two services for each property you occupy. The first is our Initial Scrutiny Service. This is an in-depth audit of your last full year’s service charge.

We then offer and would recommend our Annual Audit Service which provides a check-up at the end of each service charge year.

In combination, these services ensure that once we have a thorough understanding of the mind-set and actions of your landlord, as well as of the supporting documents, we can make sure you are paying only the correct service charges year after year.
